Cons

The DM2000 is an amazing product that we’ve enjoyed using (and will continue to enjoy using!) There aren’t any real drawbacks with it at all. Before you begin preparing any batch of frozen drinks, you have to let the machine warm up for 15 minutes in order to have the perfect results. Some customers found this 15 minute wait a little irksome. But it’s really not a big deal. If you can wait 15 minutes to pre-heat an oven, you won’t mind waiting 15 minutes to ensure you get the perfect tasting frozen beverage.

More than Just a Blender

With a normal blender you can mix ingredients and shave ice at various speeds. Normally though, you have to make sure you have the correct proportions of everything and do your best to control all the variables. Even then, your drink might not come out perfectly. You’ll be glad to know that things operate very differently when you’re using the Margaritaville DM2000. There are 4 automated settings (Margarita, Daiquiri, Mudslide and Slushie). All you have to do is mix the desired amount of ingredients (The instructions recommend exact amounts of the different ingredients for each drink you are making, you can follow these if you prefer). The DM2000 mixes the ice and your ingredients to the correct proportions (Depending on your drink choice of course) giving you the perfect drink time and again.

The Margaritaville DM2000 packaging is very neatly laid out. Inside the box you will find the DM2000 itself, an aluminum tin that is used for salting glass rims, a shot glass that is used for making measurements, 4 cardboard coasters and an instruction manual. As mentioned above, the instructions are very important in order to make sure you get the best out of the product. They aren’t incredibly complicated though; anybody would be able to follow them!
